CTF Tournament Update - Draw Today |
|
|
Just to remind everyone that signed up for the CTF Tournament that the draw will be performed tonight at 18:00 GMT. We do expect a representative from each team to be available in the #Gifford IRC channel (remember to get IRC installed first).
The Tournament Draw will decide the Matches and also which Maps will be played from the 6 possible /baseq3 map combinations for the First Round. We expect these matches to be played over the next weekend and times will be issued by the us (myself and bLU) very soon.
All relevant details with regards to the CTF Tournament should be up in the next couple of days, so please keep checking as I am updating it slowly...
If you do have any problems with anything please try to find either of us using the PM system here or IRC.

CTF Tournament Update - Registration Deadline and Draw |

Just to reiterate that the actual CTF Tournament registration deadline is tommorrow evening.
At the time of publication, we already have 13 'virtually full' teams - so there is still spaces for people that haven't joined up - since time is tight please try and join the 4 teams that are still looking for members by PMing the relevant registrar.
I will be explaining how Sunday's tournament draw will occur tommorrow, since it is very unlikely the full quota of 16 teams will be registered.
If you think there will be a problem with the CTF team you are in, or indeed anything to do with the CTF Tournament, please PM bLU as soon as possible.

CTF Tournament Update |

Just wanted to remind people that they have only about 2 weeks to register for the CTF Tournament which is predominately being organised by bLU. He should be your main point of contact if you have any problems or need any clarification (remember he's just one man so bear with him as he usually is busy).
We intend to publish soon how the tournament will be structured if we don't get the normal knock-out amount of 16 teams, we do expect at least 12 full teams by the deadline.
At the time of publication, we already have 10 'virtually full' teams - so there is still spaces for people that haven't joined up - either form your own team and register or join the 5 teams that are still looking for members by PMing the relevant registrar.
I'll post later in the week updates on this so we can be ready to set up matches right after the deadline - again please if you have an queries, ask while we still have the time to discuss them. You can also PM me for anything, though bLU should be around more than me...

I know i've been missing in action from Giffords servers for the past week and a half. I've been busy.
I just completed my first map using GTKRadiant.
It's CTF style with NCN flags and a training area in the middlegrounds. Visit the Gifford Downloads Area to Download it, or the NCN Pics section for the levelshot (Loading Screen)

Extract the contents of the ZIP to your /baseq3 folder and you'll find my map in both the DM and CTF skirmish modes. Bots are enabled, however they're pretty dumb. d^_^b"
